Welburn Lodge is a stunning Grade II listed Victorian property surrounded by an enchanting garden. The house was built in 1860 and is a superb example of Victorian gothic revival, and is full of character and charm. Recently refurbished throughout, this guest house offers luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation, with hearty English Breakfasts, or lighter options if preferred.
The Lodge is situated just off the A64 and sits within an area of outstanding natural beauty. Guests benefit from easy access to Helmsley and the North Yorkshire Moors, and we're just a five minute drive from Castle Howard Stately Home. Kirkham Priory and numerous woodland walks are situated near the guest house. Other nearby attractions include Whitby, Scarborough and the Yorkshire coast, as well as delightful market towns Malton and Pickering. The historic city of York is also withing easy reach of Welburn.
Choose from three luxurious double rooms, all with quality furnishings, TV and DVD, tea and coffee making facilities and stylish bedding. Each room is fully equipped with stylish ensuite bathrooms, and good showers. Our Abbey room is delightfully romantic, with a four poster bed and a large bay window offering views towards the Castle Howard Estate. The Minster Room has a character hand carved kingsize bed with ensuite shower/wc. This room looks out onto our pretty garden.
