An Historic Victorian House Offering Bed And Breakfast In The Heart Of Whitby, North Yorkshire
Wentworth House is a friendly, family run guest house set in the heart of Whitby. From here it is just a few seconds walk to the beautiful beaches, variety of shops, entertainment, restaurants and pubs. Whitby sits amidst Yorkshire's stunning heritage coast and ancient cobbled streets still meander beneath cliffs dominated by the Gothic remains of the old Abbey. Whitby is superbly placed for visiting nearby Heartbeat country and the beautiful North Yorkshire Moorlands.
The house itself dates back to 1850 and was built by a land entrepeneur whose main career was that of being George Stephenson's chief engineer. These houses were primarily built for reasonably well off families, people who were involved in the business of shipping. The comfortable size of the property now lends itself superbly to providing bed and breakfast accomodation for visitors to this beautiful part of the world.

We have six letting rooms, five large en-suite and one single. Babies are welcome. Each of our en-suite rooms is equipped with TV, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities.
