The quaint village of Sandsend is situated three miles north of Whitby, North Yorkshire. Nestling under Lythe Bank and Mulgrave Woods Sandsend not only boasts a wonderful sandy beach with fossil-rich rock pools, stripey windbreaks and a popular beach walk to Whitby, but also a pretty valley where you will find ducks in the beck, and goats tethered on the grass. The quiet village has several teashops, an excellent restaurant, two pubs and a good shop and Post Office. There is a regular bus service to Whitby and to Runswick Bay to the North.

Howdale, situated in the heart of the picturesque old valley, is a charming stone built cottage with three bedrooms, and two bathrooms, sleeping between two and six people. Craigmore offers stunning views along the beach and sea to Whitby Abbey. With a degree of privacy, it is approached via a private road with its own parking. This recently refurbished and spacious holiday home with three bedrooms, two bathrooms & shower room sleeps two to seven people. Melrose House, a beautiful Edwardian villa, occupies a perfect seafront location with uninterrupted views across the bay to Whitby Abbey and Sandsend Ness. The accommodation is laid out on three floors rendering this property ideal for families wishing to share. The Porthole B & B sleeps two people in a six foot bed. It is an independent unit with a bedroom, ensuite bath and shower room and a small kitchenette. Breakfast will be left in the kitchenette for you to have at your leisure either in your room, in front of the french windows looking out to sea or on your own private terrace
