Visit Websitefor more informationThis 17th Century Coaching Inn was extended in the 1800's to include the blacksmiths shop and stables, which are now our dining room. One of the upstairs rooms was the court house to the Ewecross district. Here the jp's met to renew the licenses for the many Inns in the area, and also to deal with petty crime. The Wheatsheaf has also been used as a Coroner's Court. Such history guarantees atmosphere, accompanied by excellent pub food and real ales, either in the bar or dining room. This classic inn features 8 en-suite rooms with twin, King sized double, a family room and a four poster bed. Before enjoying a relaxing nights sleep, unwind with a drink from the bar and a beautifully cooked meal served in our restaurant.
Situated in the quaint village of Ingleton on the edge of the breath taking Yorkshire Dales. Surrounded by the River Twiss and River Doe, Ingleton provides visitors to North Yorkshire picturesque views of the high cliffs, limestone pavements and deep gorges. The village contains small shops and pubs or guests could pop across onto Lancashire and visit Carnforth, Lancaster or the idyllic town of Kirkby Lonsdale. The surrounding hills provide excellent backdrop for many activities including walking, cycling, climbing caving and abseiling.
The Wheatsheaf Inn & Hotel has nine en-suite bedrooms consisting of King Size doubles, Twins, a Family Room and a large room with a Four Poster bed. All rooms are equipped with the usual tea and coffee making facilities, TV, Hair Dryer and Wardrobes.
Thornton force - Our Family room can sleep up to 5 people Some of our other rooms will fit a portable bed put in them to make a mini Family room which would sleep 2 adults and 1 child The Wheatsheaf is renowned, by tourists and locals alike, for quality home cooking in its Dining Room. The menu centres around traditional dishes with an emphasis on freshly cooked vegetables, local produce, and, above all, friendly service.
