Holmfirth is situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park which is an ideal area for walking, hiking, cycling, golf, horse riding, climbing and exploring. Other places of interest in Pennine Yorkshire include Huddersfield, Colne Valley, Denby Dale and The Spen Valley - a mixture of attractive small towns steeped in history. If you fancy dining out, there are many traditional Yorkshire pubs and inns, so you can hang up the oven gloves at least once on your break away.
