Gothic Molly, also known as Helen m Sant, is one of York's most well-known and innovative storytellers. Whether you want to organise: a school project, a guided tour of the city, a birthday party with a difference or an office seminar, Gothic Molly can adapt to provide a uniquely entertaining storytelling experience. Specialising in all types of story including historical, myths, legends, folklore, fairytale and ghost stories.
Gothic Molly created the first ever tour of haunted pubs in York, back in 2003. Radically different from an outdoor ghost walk, the tour was an instant success, even with shoestring publicity back then. Lots of people love the opportunity to actually see inside the haunted buildings, and then quench their thirst and have a chat along the way. Regular events are held throughout the year, in locations including the Golden Fleece Pub, featured on TV's Most Haunted and believed to be the most haunted place in York.
The Annual Haunted Halloween Pub Tour - Every year the tour takes in different pubs in York, but usually starts at the Golden Fleece on Pavement, (Most Haunted TV 2005). In 2007, Adrian Spendlow, local storyteller, and son of York's first ever ghost tour guide, Connie Spendlow, joined Helen's tour, with his own unique brand of horror storytelling along with eye witness accounts and his real interest in spirits. Over the years, we've had mediums, different pubs, street-theatre, visits to graveyards and every year, they add something new. This year, you will get the chance to test out some ghost-finding equipment in a haunted graveyard!
