Our family is proud to have 5 generations of experience in producing forced rhubarb. We're delighted to welcome back tourists year after year who travel miles to our farm in Rothwell just to see our rhubarb being harvested by candlelight. Our rhubarb is well known amongst top celebrity chefs who regularly visit us to buy our delicious produce. We would love you to join us for an insight into the wonderful world of rhubarb, learn about the history of rhubarb, how it was used as a medicine, how the process of forcing was discovered and much more!

We offer both public and group tours and are happy to welcome coach parties. Your tour will begin with tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival in our lecture theatre. During this time, we will discuss the ancient history of rhubarb, how we came to eat it and how the forcing method was first discovered. We will then talk about the qualities of rhubarb and how are bodies can benefit from eating it. You will then be shown the forcing sheds - this is a truly magical moment and a sight you are unlikely to forget. Many people return each year just to see it again. Afterwards you will have the opportunity to purchase as much or as little as you like of our fresh forced rhubarb as well as signed celebrity chef recipe books, home made preserves and award winning stains of roots so you can grow your own!
