The RHS Garden at Harlow Carr is a stunning 27.5 hectare garden, located in grounds that were once the ancient royal hunting ground of the Forest of Knaresborough. The garden is dominated by water, stone and woodland and is very much part of the surrounding Yorkshire landscape. The garden is also home to the Alpine Zone, an exciting new location for Harlow Carr's beautiful collection of alpines. There is also an on site plant centre and Bettys' Cafe which serves a delicious range of tempting cakes and chocolates as well as the highest quality teas and coffees.
Harlow Carr is also home to a newly opened library with online resources, children's books and a large collection of the best modern books on gardening with selected garden magazines. The garden also offers a number of adult courses at the new Bramall Learning Centre and free visits for schools.
