Sno!zone is Yorkshire’s only indoor snow slope where you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, sledging and ice sliding all year round! Conveniently based within the Xscape centre just off junction 32 of the M62, Sno!zone’s indoor slope is the only place where you can enjoy snow 364 days a year.
Confident skiers and snowboarders can enjoy speeding down the 170m long slope which is covered with more than 1,700 tonnes of snow or, if you’re new to snow sports, you can have a lesson on the dedicated learner slope with one of sno!zone’s qualified instructors. The centre also offers a great variety of fun snow activities including traditional sledging and ice sliding on a daring course carved from the ice. Finally, if all the action on the slope leaves you ready for a rest sno!zone has its own alpine-themed sno!bar overlooking the main slope where you can relax and unwind with a hot drink and something to eat.
New for the winter 2010/2011 season sno!zone exclusively offers ski-riders, which are a bit like a cross between a scooter and a snowboard, and hammerhead sledges which turn sledging into an extreme sporting activity. Both of these new activities have been tested by five’s The Gadget Show and are set to become the hottest thing on snow slopes across the world this winter!
Sno!zone also makes a great location for an event or party, whatever your age. The dedicated team can arrange anything from corporate events for groups of 3 to 300 in its dedicated conference suites, incorporating any number of fun team building activities on the slope, or children’s birthday parties with a special appearance from Percy the Penguin! Call for more information on your next event.
9am - 11pm every day (both recreational slopes will be closed 6-7pm, Thursday – Sunday to allow for grooming to maintain slope conditions) Christmas
