For things to do near Harrogate, no visit to Ripley is complete without a trip to The Old Farmyard. There is plenty to keep children of all ages occupied, and a great range of animals to enthral and amaze! See our majestic Clydesdale heavy horses, our several breeds of sheep, including Suffolks, Ryelands, Jacobs, Herdwicks and Welsh Mountain Badger Face and our hens and chickens roaming freely. With activities ranging from trap rides to butter making, there's something for everyone at The Old Farmyard.

See the vintage machinery and visit Birchwood Farm Museum, a beautiful snapshot of how farming used to be. With lambs that can be bottle fed, a great experience for young children, we are a day out not to be missed. The Old Farmyard closes at the end of August.
