Email Enquiryfor more informationThe Booth House Gallery have the largest collection of hand made studio ceramics in West Yorkshire! First opened in 1975 as a studio and sales outlet for sculptor and ceramicist Jim Robison, the gallery is housed in an early 19th Century barn with a unique queen post beamed ceiling. The warm coloured stone walls and wood floors are a perfect foil for ceramics of all kinds as well as paintings and other artwork. Jim Robison's work is primarily ceramic sculpture - including small and large individual pieces, slabware vessels, and public commissions.
Started in 1975, the The Booth House Gallery and studio are housed in a converted 19th century stone barn near Holmfirth. Surrounded by breathtaking countryside (well known as a result of the TV series "Last of the Summer Wine"), the area is famous for its rural flavour and scenic walks. Now in its 31st year, the gallery is renowned for its excellent programme of Ceramic Exhibitions, while the studio specialises in one-off ceramic works and architectural commissions.The Booth House Gallery also offers ceramics and glaze courses for all abilities. The gallery is a family business and there is always a warm welcome for customers and pottery enthusiasts. They also hold evening visits for larger groups by arrangement, and run week-long courses each summer.
