Ruins of a Cistercian Abbey founded in 1156 between Masham and Leyburn. As nature has colonised the old walls over 180 species of wildlflowers can be seen. Onsite tea rooms.
Once one of the great Cistercian monasteries in England, the ruins of Jervaulx Abbey providing an enchanting day out in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The Ruins sit in beautiful gardens which are abundant with wild flowers and other plants. Enjoy a relaxing cup of tea at the onsite tea rooms which are also home to a magnificent 1:72 scale model of Jervaulx Abbey as it would have looked in the early 16th Century before the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
