Open to the public since 2007, the 600 acre estate of Wentworth Castle and Stainborough Park is set just a short drive from Barnsley and offers a beautiful choice of formal & landscaped gardens for you to enjoy. Admire the formal displays at the Victorian Flower Garden, relax amongst the colourful collections in the Azalea Garden and take a stroll down Lady Lucy's Walk, an early 20th Century avenue of lime trees. There is also an elegant collection of monuments in the gardens including The Rotunda, Stainborough Castle, the Corinthian Temple and the Queen Anne Monument.

Wentworth Castle Gardens is one of Yorkshire's top wedding venues with two beautiful rooms available for your special day. The Long Barn dates from the 18th Century featuring wood floors, high timbered ceilings and is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. St James' Hall is a former Victorian chapel and both can accommodate up to 100 people. Marquees are available for larger parties and guests can enjoy exclusive use of our beautiful grounds after 5pm. From August 2013, the resorted Victorian Conservatory will also be available for weddings. Contact us for further details.
