The 154th Great Yorkshire Show takes place from Tuesday 10 July to Thursday 12 July at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate. The Great Yorkshire Show is England’s Premier Agricultural event and features everything from world-class livestock to fashion shows. Gates open at 7.30am on all three days. The Yorkshire Agricultural Society is a charity working for the countryside and in addition to the Great Yorkshire Show, they organise and host Countryside Live and have an active educational programme that reaches children and adults. Buying your show tickets is easy online – book in advance to save £££s on the gate price and giving you fast-track entry to the Show.

If you’re looking for a great day out that offers you something just a little bit different, then the Great Yorkshire Show is the event for you! We aim to bring countryside to you – you’ll see livestock, equine competitions, cookery demonstrations, and hands-on crafts. Each year the Great Yorkshire Show attracts in excess of 125,000 visitors, why not join us this year and be part of it! The show is run by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, who also run the Countryside Live Event taking place this year on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October, with fun activities and entertainment for all ages.

Unique Features

Watch the highlights of the past three years on the Great Yorkshire Show website! For 2012 the Ukrainian Cossack daredevil horse riding team will be performing in the main ring, as well as a daily descent by the Red Devils. Visit the Fashion Show Pavilion, agricultural machinery stands, craft tents, Flower and Garden Show and don’t miss the many breeds of livestock. a wide variety of food and regional specialities are available at the Great Yorkshire Show. Catering outlets are marked on the map (see show programme for information). The video episodes for 2012, follow Skipton goat farmer, Stephen Ackrigg as he prepares his goats and their milk to make cheese which will be entered in the Cheese & Dairy Show.

Specialities

Baby changing facilities are located at various WC’s throughout the site. See show maps or the programme for exact locations. Green Gables nursery is open from 8am-6pm near White Gate. A daily charge will be made for the crèche, please contact 01423 567087 for more details. There are numerous free car parks at the Great Yorkshire Show. Please follow directions when you arrive at the Showground. Please note that we do encourage visitors to use public transport wherever possible to minimise congestion – we thank you in advance for your co-operation.
