Join us at The Tanglewood Restaurant in York for great food, a family-friendly atmosphere and a memorable dining experience for a celebration, a special occasion, a date or an evening out with the family. Here at The Tanglewood, furnishings include 1950s, 1960s and 1970s theatre and movie memorabilia, giving you plenty to look at when you arrive. We're open every day from lunchtime onwards, and we serve a wide selection of meals and bar snacks, as well as your favourite alcoholic and non-alcholic drinks. Meals at The Tanglewood include handmade local sausages, crispy roast duck, soft and flaky pies, fresh fish dishes and grills. We offer a great selection for our vegetarian guests, and for lunch we serve a selection of low-fat salads, hot and cold sandwiches and paninis. Join us on Thursday evening for our Steak Night, or try one of our Sunday Roasts, with tender meats, quality gravy, a selection of seasonal vegetables and perfectly crispy roast potatoes. We offer ten wines and a selection of beers, spirits and liqueurs, and our desserts include seasonal crumbles, a classic cheese board, our popular toffee meringue and our Eton Mess. For the kids, we serve pork ribs in a sticky sauce, steak pie, and prawn cocktail. If they prefer those traditional kids dishes we also serve burgers, fish and chips and sausage and mash. Since we know your kids have everlasting eating abilities, we also serve a selection of desserts including chocolate fudge brownies, cheesecakes and ice creams.

Here at The Tanglewood, we provide an eating experience that's affordable for all. We want to see families enjoying quality time together, and we're able to provide highchairs for our youngest diners. We offer baby changing facilities on site, and for larger events we have a selection of function rooms accommodating up to seventy guests. We also offer a selection of gluten free meals including fish goujons, salads, steaks, braised lamb shanks and our much-loved half roast chicken.
