The Copper Horse is a cosy and welcoming pub-style restaurant situated in Seamer on the outskirts of Scarborough. A restaurant with real 'Star Quality' this charming inn has a unique theatrical theme with the walls and ceilings covered in theatre memorabilia of stage and screen dating back to the 1950's, creating an unforgettable dining experience. The Copper Horse offers an eclectic and varied menu created using the finest local ingredients. Enjoying a well earned reputation which has been built on classic British dishes served by friendly staff in a cosy pub atmosphere. The main restaurant offers a relaxed and informal dining experience with air conditioning for your comfort. Wherever possible all meat, fish, vegetables and cheeses are sourced locally, and all our pastry and desserts are home-made on the premises. Boasting a superb ‘value for money’ wine list, and the owners are proud to be a ‘Free House’ offering a range of ales and lagers including Theakstons & John Smiths. Dine in the bar area or spacious restaurant, which also caters for private parties and functions, including weddings. There is a car park to the rear and a pleasant patio area to dine on those warmer days.

If the surroundings are a feast for the eyes, the mouthwatering menu is a treat for the taste-buds. All the dishes are made from the freshest local produce, with everything from the pate and the pie pastry to the sauces and the salmon fishcakes all home-made on the premises. A choice of Sunday roasts are available in addition to the main menu and a lunchtime ‘Lite-Bite’ menu offers sandwiches, salads and hot dishes from Wednesday to Saturday. Daily blackboard specials and a home-made ‘soup of the day’ are also available. With Roasts, Grills, Fish & Seafood, Vegetarian Dishes to choose from be sure to save room for one of our Heavenly Home-made Desserts. To accompany your meal, there are a wide range of wines from around the world and a selection of ales and lagers.

Specialities

The Copper Horse caters for all types of parties up to 75 people for which they can provide 'bespoke' menus if required. We offer our full menu for lunch and dinner, together with our ‘blackboard’ specials and a ‘light bite’ lunchtime menu. We have our traditional ‘Sunday Lunch’ menu every weekend, and we also offer a 'Gluten-Free' menu.
