The White Horse & Griffin Restaurant/bistro offers exceptional cuisine, all prepared using the freshest and finest and wherever possible local ingredients.The specialities are based around the beautiful fresh seafood, brought into the town daily by the local fisherman also gorgeous Beef, Pork & Lamb dishes. The White Horse & Griffin chefs also try very hard to think of something a little bit out of the ordinary for vegetarians. Real pride in what they do has gained th White Horse a reputation as being one of the finest restaurants in the area and in fact in the whole of Yorkshire.
The White Horse & Griffin Hotel & Restaurant offers high quality, luxury accommodation in one of our 10 beautifully refurbushed rooms, with single, double, twin and family rooms - all situated in a refurbished 320 year old building. The hotel rooms, having been renovated over several years, still hold the charm and character of many centuries ago. All individually designed, the real flame fires are still surrounded by the original wood panelling. All luxury accommodation is en-suite, and every room is equipped with DVD/CD Player, plus Tea & Coffee facilities. Unfortunately, there is no television signal on the East side of Whitby, but there is a DVD library for customers use.
There are also four lovely self catering holiday cottages ideal for those who want to stay in the heart of the town, yet still come and go as they please.
