The Wheatsheaf is steeped in history dating back to the 17th century. Such history guarantees atmosphere, accompanied by excellent pub food and real ales, either in the bar or dining room. Popular with locals and visitors alike, the Inn offers a fine selection of cask ales, fine food and comfortable accommodation. Its central location means it is ideal for a drink, bar snack or sit down meal.
The Wheatsheaf has a huge 80 cover restaurant which is split between the dining room and conservatory. The dining room seats up to 45 people and is spacious and welcoming. The light and bright conservatory seats 35 and is very popular with group bookings as doors can be shut to create a private dining area, ideal for a special occasion or family reunion. Choose from an evening dinner menu, bar snacks menu, Sunday dinner menu and a breakfast menu. The kids are well catered for with their own menu, featuring meal deals. Our meat can be traced back to local Yorkshire farmers and our Poultry back to Rspca approved farms.
We serve a range of delicious locally sourced cuisine, with starters, main courses and grill dishes served. We also have vegetarian options available, as well as bar snacks. A range of cask ales are served.
