Yorkshire Racecourses

Yorkshire is one of the best UK regions for racing with a fine choice of historic racecourses including two of Europe's finest - York Racecourse and Doncaster Racecourse. York Racecourse really has come into its own in recent years, and has become renowned as one of Europe's finest racecourses. It recently won the best British Racecourse award in a Times Newspaper survey! Most famous for its Tote-Ebor Meet every August, but that's not all York Races has to offer. There are numerous events at York Racecourse throughout the year, with race meets from May to October.

York Racecourse and North Yorkshire Races

On the fourth floor of the Ebor stand sits the fine dining Ebor Restaurant. Guests can expect divine gourmet dining and fine wines here, all accompanied by spectacular views across the racecourse! Pontefract Races

Situated just a half a mile off Junction 32 of the M62 motorway, the popular and historic Pontefract Races makes a superb family day out. Accompanied under 16s enter every enclosure and fixture throughout this family friendly racecourse free! Every Sunday is also Family Day at Pontefract Races with on-site kids rides, face painting and on some dates an operating crche (see the Pontefract Races webguide right for dates and details).

Ripon Races

Conveniently situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with easy access off the A1 motorway, Ripon Races has a history dating back 300 years. The giant screen opposite Ripon's main stand is a bonus so you won't miss a thing.

Ripon Racecourse offers a full complement of corporate hospitality facilities and is located close to historic Ripon with attractions including the striking Ripon Cathedral and a host of museums. North of Leeds historic market town Wetherby is renowned for its horse racing history - the Romans raced Arab horses in the area.
