Though most suited to those who love the outdoors, Ingleton attractions cater to all tastes and include the White Scar Cave, with guided tours available throughout the year, and the Ingleton Outdoor Swimming Pool, offering cheap public swimming facilities with on-site refreshments.
Families can make the most of their time together in Ingleton, with the opportunity to explore natural surroundings by foot. Tourists can take a picnic with them whilst walking in Ingleton, and in the summer months the area is ideal for romantic al fresco dining or family bonding over sandwiches and outdoor sports.
On the third Saturday in July, the Ingleton Gala is held each year. With a float parade and live entertainment, the annual event is an attraction in its own right. Live music performances, rides and entertainment stalls make the the Ingleton Gala perfect for holidaymakers of any age.
On the western edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Ingleton is easily accessible from the M6 motorway, a short drive from Lancaster and under two hours from Preston. Ingleton car parks can be found in convenient locations, offering pay and display parking facilities for those who wish to leave their cars throughout the day and enjoy the local area by foot.
